STRUCK BY TRAMCAR.

WOMEN MOTORISTS INJURED.

Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Sept. -30. Struck by a Kilbirnie-bound tramcar at the corner of Ross and Coutts Streets (Rongotai) late last night, a motor-car turned a complete somersault and lanifed on its wlieels._ Three women in the car received injuries which necessitated their removal to 'hospital. They were: Airs E. Jemett, 80 Hatton Street, severe shock and an injury to her back: Mrs M. Dirinev, 12 Lemnos Avenue, Karori, fractured right thigh,'and left ribs; Mrs E. Astill, 47 Ross Street, shock and fractured right; ribs. The accidbnt occurred at about 10.50 p.m. It is understood that the car was travelling along Coutts Street and was about to tarn into Ross Street. Had it not been a closed vehicle with an all-steel hoily the accident must have been more serious.
