WOMEN’S WORLD
Miss Babette Rodgers, of Church Street, has returned home from a visit to Wellington. Mesdames L. Clark and H. Baggott, of Waitara, are spending a holiday in Palmerston North.
A welcome was extended to Mrs D. C. Tait, a new member, at the meeting of the Townswomen’s Guild yesterday. i\lrs J. Pow (Dominion president of the Townswomens’ Guilds), Mrs J. Brownie (Dominion treasurer), and Mrs Noble' (president of t'ne Petone Townswomens Guild) journeyed to Palmerston North yesterday to attend the birthday celebrations ot the Palmerston North Townswomen’s Guild and returned home last evening.
Miss Lorraine Norton, of London, official examiner for the Royal Academy of Dancing, is to visit Palmer* ston North shortly, when she will conduct a children’s examination. She will subsequently proceed to AVanganui, accompanied by Miss Gwen Gibbs, district organiser for the academy.
