This map has been prepared with the object of - giving readers some idea of the relative positions of targets of the R.A.F. in their raids on the German capital. The area covered makes it impossible to keep to a set scale of miles the distance from east to west shown here is some 28 miles, while the length of Unter den Linden from Bran-' denberger Gate to the old Imperial Palace is approximately three-quarters of a mile. Actually the centre of the city has been drawn to a much larger scale than the suburbs. Roads, railways and canals in certain parts have been uncompleted in order to avoid confusion. Readers should mark spots in red ink on this map, and they will tbf-n have a better understanding of the R.A.F. attacks.
