HARRIER CLUB.

SEASON CONCLUDED. The Feilding Harrier Club concluded its season on Saturday at the racecourse, when the senior championship and a mile handicap race for juniors wore conducted. R. Larnbert.nn is senior champion again, and deserved his victory as this is probably his last harrier for the present; he will be going into camp laler on. He carries with him the best wishes of his clubmales. The senior race was a good contest. E. Batten took up the running, being closely followed by L. Barrett and Lambert.on. Each runner exchanged laps during the progress of the-race and after they had travelled about 1J miles Batten clipped Lanibcrton’s heels and • these two had the , misfortune to fall. Barrett just missed this and carried on only to be caught again in a few yards. I-amberton look over about lj miles from home and was never aflervvards headed lo win comfortably from Batten, who finished with a great sprint lo head Barrett in (he last 150 yards. The official result and the times of each runner for the last mile of the contest arc: R. Lambcrton (smin 34 see), 1; E. Batten (smin 52sec), 2; L. Barrett. (6min 3sec), 3. Batten ran a very creditable race and should not bo hard to place in distance races in the forthemoing track season. Barrett also put up a good performance, and if lie runs in the early season on the track he also should 6how up well over a distance. The junior race was run over a mile, and a modal was given for the winner, who turned up in R. Evari6. G. Whittaker ran a great race to he only 43see behind the winner.
