QUESTION OF TRANSPORT.

At a special meeting of the Terrace End School Committee on Thursday evening, Mr W. B. Tennent presiding, a lengthy discussion took place on tlje transport of children to the Intermediate School from Terrace End. The following resolution was passed: — “That as approximately 70 of the children of the Terrace End School who should be eligible to attend the Intermediate School next year come under the effect of Clause 60 of the Educational Act regarding the three-mile limit, the committee views with great concern the lack of provision for transport and requests the Wanganui Education Board to make ’ provision for such transport.”
