RESCUE FROM RIVER.

Per Press Association. HAMILTON, Sept 27, Only the prompt action of a passerby in jumping into the river fully clothed saved a Hamilton borough employee, Mr L. Reid, aged 35, married, of Piaeroa, from being drowned this morning. Mr Reid v was engaged on painting the traffic bridge when he overbalanced and fell from a height of 50ft. He was unable to swim and was halt-unconscious from his fall.
