HARRIER CLUB.

Tho Harrier Club will another successful season on Saturday witlCa junior race over one lap of the racecourse, and the senior championships. The runners all performed very well this season, making a name for themselves by winning iho West Coast North Island B grade championship (R. Lambcrton) and the Wangachu road race (E. Batten), while L. Barrett and H. ..loss ran excellent races in the latter and in the Bulls to Marton race. The handicaps for the junior race are: —G. Whittaker scr, J. Duncan 30sec, L. Moore lmin, M. Iluddlestone lniin 15occ, R. Evans 2min. Others will be handicapped on the mark. The following will contest the senior championship: R. Lambcrton, E. Batten, 1,. Barrett, if. Moss and J. Haycock, and R. Lambcrton appears likely, by his consistent form, to ho well in the limelight again this year. E. Batten and L. Barrett have also been consistent of late, and with H. Moss, winner of the Cobbc Cup, should provide a good finish for second place or even may trouble Lambcrton for the championship. Haycock has not run much this year and so there is no guide to his prospects. This is the final raeo for the 1940 season and runners are to meet at the gymnasium at 2 p.m.
