AID FOR BRITAIN.
(British Official Wireless.) (Rec. 11.30 a.m.) RUGBY, Sept. 24. Australian dried fruit producers, consisting mainly of small orchard holders on the soldier settlements on the Murray River established after the last war, have given £2400 to the Lord Mayor of London’s fund for the relief of air raid victims. The Legis'ative Council of Northern Rhodesia has unanimously resolved that a loan of £200.000 from surplus balances bo granted to the British Government free of interest for the duration of the war.
