FORMER FOOTBALLERS.
Twenty-three former Rugby representative players from the Manawatu (members of the Evergreens Club) gathered for a picnic at Raumai at the week-end, a most enjoyable time being spent. A picnic lunch was provided and games and competitions were held. Due honour was accorded Messrs F. L. Irvine, L, Thorne and Y. Fleming, former Manawatu representative players who are now on active service with the Army. A competition for a boomerang, donated by Mr R. Al. AlcKenzie, being a memento of his trip to Australia with the All Blacks, was won by Air A. Williams,
