J J i J *lll J.JW KJ 4. XKJ • Mr H. P. La wry,. S.M., presided at a sitting of the Magistrate’s Court yesterday. Margaret Elmie Halligan, a domestic, was charged that on August 5, while incurring a debt for a pair of hose and a pair of gloves, valued at £1 2s 2d, she obtained credit by means of fraud. Detective 0. Power said accused secured gloves and hose and had them charged to her employer’s \ account. Accused was before the Court on July 18 for similar offences, at Wellington, and again on August 27 for other offences of a like nature at Wellington. Accused, who pleaded guilty, was convicted and ordered to come up for sentence if called on within six months. A fine of £2. with 10s costs, was imposed on E. C. Young for trespassing on the Awapuni racecourse while a race meeting was in progress on September 5, he being a prohibited person.
