LEGAL TOURNEY.
PRINCIPAL EVENT TO M. H. ORAM. The annual golf tournament for members of the legal profession was concluded, at the Hokowhitu course yesterday afternoon. M. H. Oram won the principal event, tho Devil’s Own Cup, and subsidiary events were won by G. Phillips (Wellington) and R. M. McKenzie (Masterton). The trophies were presented by Mrs L. G. H. Sinclair, wife of the president of the Palmerston North Law Society. Results of concluding events are: Devil’s Own Cup.—Final: M. H. Oram (Palmerston North) beat W. S. T. Till (Wellington). Mortgagors’ Rehabilitation Stakes.— Final: G. Phillips (Wellington) beat J. M. Graham (Feilding). Paupers’ Appeal Stakes.—Final: R. M. McKenzie (Masterton) beat J. Card (Featherston). The best qualifying aggregate was gained by L. W. N. Maeliie (Waipukurau).
