GERMAN GRIP.
FASTENED ON RUMANIA
LONDON, Sept. 20
The correspondent- of the Times in the Balkans says that evidence is accumulating of German military co-opei-ation with Rumania which is tantamount to German control. The Premier (General Antonescu) has appealed to Germany to reorganise the army arid it is reliably reported that- preparations have been made to enable German aircraft to land on the Floresti airport, near the oilfields. German Black Guards are reported to be encamped at two places in the same area. Great activity has been observed in the Russian Legation, which is alarmed at these developments and regards the- new Government with deep suspicion. The continued arrival ot Russian reinforcements is reported from the Bessarabian front.
Bucharest newspapers to-day published accounts of Hungarian atrocities in Transylvania- Some of the outrages, including the crucifixion of a priest oil a church tower, arc known to be true.
It is announced from A T arna that 50,000 .Bulgarian troops have begun the occupation of South Dobruja.
