Mrs M. H. Oram, of Featlierston Street, is visiting Napier. Miss K. N. Woodhonse has returned to Palmerston'North from Pukerua Bay.
Miss B. A. Campbell, matron of the New Plymouth Hospital, was presented with a cheque for £2OO by the Taranaki Hospital Board on the occasion of her retirement in appreciation of her long and faithful service both ( to the hospital and to the district of North Taranaki.
Miss Ethel Law, National General Secretary of the I.W.C.A. of New Zealand, will spend the week-end in Palmerston North and will be the guest of Mrs P. E. Flood, Massey Street. Members of the Board of Directors will meet Miss Law at the club rooms on Monday afternoon. Mrs David Millar, of AVhakarongo, who was a visitor to Wellington for a few days, has returned to Palmerston North. Miss Marjorie Millar, who took a leading part in the pageant “For England,” which was presented in, the Town Hall, Wellington, "in aid of the lied Cross, on Wednesday, has also returned home. Miss H. M. Webb, infant mistress at the Te Aro School, Wellington, has retired after 36-j years’ teaching service. Miss Webb started as a pupil teacher at the Clyde Quay School in April, 1904. She later taught in the Training College, Clyde Quay, Alaranui, Petone, Island Bay and Masterton schools. From 1921 to 1928 she was infant mistress in the Eastern Hutt School, and from that date till her retirement infant mistress at Te AroJ
