The following sale took place on the Wellington Stock Exchange to-day: Bank of New Zealand, £2 2s 6d. Sales reported: Bank of New Zealand. £2 2s 6d; MacDnffs, Ltd., ord., 10s Od.— Press Association. The United States Government have given an order to construct and operate a smokeless powder plant capable of producing 200,0001 b of powder daily. The plant will be built near Charlestown, Indiana, and is to be completed in 10 months. Three other powder plants are to be erected in the Middle West.
