BOXING.

A feast of entertainment will be afforded those who attend the big boxing match at the Palmerstc'S North Opera House, on Saturday night' next, September 21. Six well-matched amateur bouts will bo staged by fighters from Dannevirke, Hastings, Wellington, Levin and Palmerston North, as a preliminary to the Rayner-Uildo contest of 12 threeminute rounds. Within tho last month Rayner has had a decision over Johnnie Hutchinson, knocked out Jackie Sharpo in two rounds, and beaten Hansen on points. Both Rayner and Gildo are fighters as well as boxers and can be relied upon to take the fight to each 'others, so patrons can be assured of getting their money’s worth next • Saturday night. The box plan is now open at Uollinson and Cunninghame’s, and is filling rapidly. Patrons are advised to book early and secure a good seat.
