RONGOTEA.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) RONGOTEA. Sept. 16.
The annual bulb show was concluded on Saturday evening when a large number of interested flower lovers from all round the district gathered to view the outstanding exhibition of blooms. At a suitable period the presentation of trophies was made to successful exhibitors by tho president (Mrs M. Will). A presentation on behalf of the society was made to Mrs If. Brown by Mr 11. N. Rowe. The recipient, he said, had been an active and keen member of this society and now had taken up her residence in another town. Regret was expressed at losing such a valued assistant, but it was hoped she would he very happy in her new sphere. A short programme listened to by an enthusiastic audience was arranged and presented by local artists under the direction of Mr D. B, Rowe. Mrs Rowe acled as accoinpaniste. Those who look part were Misses D. Matheson, E. Berkahn and G. Amey, and Mr R. Algar.
