While a fire threatened to do damage at tho Telegraph Hotel some unauthorisod person took some 14s, money which had been collected for Red Cross funds. The wedding took place at the Presbyterian Church on Saturday of Miss Nancy Thomson and Mr 11. Til buryßev \V. B. Cuming was tho officiating clergyman. All Saints’ Church, Otaki. was the scene, on September 7, of tho wedding of Alurie! Frances, eldest daughter of Mr and Airs R D Macdonald, “Glentress,” Otaki, to John, youngest son of Air and Airs J. Shearer, Seaciiffo. Rev. George Watson performed the ceremony and Miss Allen ably officiated at the organ.
