lIORNABROOK’S GOOD FORM

A splendid game was played by the New Zealand amateur golf champion, J. P. Hornabrook, formerly of Palmerston North, whe.n he set a. new course record of 66, playing in the qualifying rounds of the Masterton Golf Chib’s championship. The par for the course is 73. and the previous record was 68, which was made by W. Horton and equalled by G. Sarazen (the American). The course has since bpen lengthened, so that there is added merit to Hornabrook’s feat. He took 34 for tlie outward journey and 32 hack. He is on a plus 4 handicap.
