Mrs C. Anderson, of Morrinsville, is spending a holiday in Palmerston North.
Advice has been received that Miss B. iSalomonis lias passed the higher local pianoforte examination, with 82 marks (merit), of the Trinity College of Music (London).
The girls of Form 2 at the College Street School on a recent afternoon presented a concert in the Garrison Band Hall, lent by the band authorities for the occasion, the entertainment realising the sum of £3 Is for patriotic purposes. The concert was organised entirely by t'he girls. The money was donated to the takings of the College Street School ladies’ committee’s effort at the patriotic shop. At the close of the entertainment the chairman of the school committee (Mr H. G. Mills) complimented the girls on their enterprise in organising the effort and also on their skill as entertainers.
