GOOD PROGRESS MADE.

ARTILLERY TRAINING

THIRD WEEK OF INSTRUCTION

Members of F Troop, 4th Field Battery, 2nd Field Regiment of the New Zealand Artillery, are now in their third week of intensive training in Palmerston North, and have been making exceptionally good progress in their work. The first week is usually occupied in settling down, so that the time since the actual training ha 6 been in full swing is comparatively short. Nevertheless, the syllabus is being carried out right up to schedule. With the co-operation of the traffic department of the City Council, all the battery’s drivers will next week be put through their test for heavy traffic drivers’ licenses.

The battery will take part in a parade to All Saints’ Church next Sunday.

the standard of fitness among the men since their training started has been' excellent. • No more than 3 per cent, have been away at a time on sick leave.
