HANDSOME DONATION

PALMERSTON NORTH RESIDENT,

£SOO FOR FIGHTER PLANES,

On being invited to assist in swelling the local Fighter Plane Fund, one of Palmerston North’s worthiest citizens, Mr C. H. Handley, while fully approving of tho pre-eminent value of the fund, explained that he had already donated £SOO to the London Spitfire Fund, just prior to the New Zealand appeal being launched. This most handsome contribution, the local committee states, in itself provides further emphasis here of the outstanding value of the Fighter Plane Appeal, which the citizens of Palmerston North are asked to support liberally this week, whe.i the fund will close.
