HELP APPRECIATED.

Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Sept. 16. Lady Galway has received a letter from Sir Harry Batterbee (High Commissioner for the United Kingdom), saying lie has been asked on behalf of His Majesty’s Government to convey through Her Excellency to the members of her committee and all helpers an expression of the most warm thanks for the generous gifts <ff clothing, etc., for refugees which are being sent to England by the guild. The work done by so large a number of willing workers is most warmly appreciated, and is one more evidence of the desire on the part of the people of New Zealand to play their part m the common war effort.
