GENERAL NEWS.
BASKETBALL. The Feilding Basketball Association’s games on Saturday resulted: —Old Girls A 27 v. Swifts 12; Old Girls B 18 v. Toas 13; Cobbe’s 26 v. Kias 5. Mishap to Lorry. A lorry laden with timber struck an unconsolidated patch of ground at the railway loading yards on Saturday and the hack wheels sank several feet'. Two hours elapsed before the vehicle was placed on the level again, and the aid of a powerful lorry was required to pull the vehicle out of the declivity.
