WINNING RIVAL SCORES. ROY BUN’S SUCCESS. Per Press Association. ASHBURTON, Sept. 14. The Ashburton Racing Club’s spring meeting was bold in fine windy weather. The' course was excellent, and the attendance was very largo. The totalizator handled £18,094 10s, against £11,942 10s last year. The judicial committee decided that Wbiphand, ridden by C. T. Wilson, had been interfered with in the Novice Stakes by Jolly' Time, ridden by B. 11. Brodic. Brodie was severely reprimanded, and the trainer, R. Pentecost, was warned as to the horse’s running-about habits. He was told that if there was no improvement the horse would be recommended for the schooling list. Results: — COUNTY HURDLES, of £123.
