A message from New Jersey (United States) states: Dr Charles F. Bove, head surgeon at the American hospital in Paris, on his arival from France, said that the Germans had already attempted and failed several times to invade England at different points. , Dr Bove’described seeing hundreds ot German bodies in the water near Cherbourg. Dr Bove added that the Germans were constantly practising for the invasion. Troops were forced to leap overboard and swim considerable distances fully uniformed and equipped. He declared that he was aware ot. the invasion attempts from personal observation and from talking with responsible sources.
