HARRIERS.

WANGAEIiU-WANGANUI RACE.

On Saturday six members of the Palmerston North Y.M.C.A. Harrier Club took part in tho annual Wangaobu-Wanganui road race, ir, which there were 31 starters. The conditions were ideal for running and some good times and performances were established. E. Batten, of the hcilding Club, was the individual winner and he must bo congratulated on liis fine run. F. Hill, of the Alarton Club, again put up fastest time and lie lias proved himself to be one of the leading road runners in New Zealand. D. AleCardle ran well from one of tho back marks to record third fastest time, and has shown remarkable stamina for such a young runner. C. MeVicar also ran well and is at his best on the road. Of the other ]cc-al runners, J. Roberts, H. Clark and A. Cozens all finished well. The following are tho times and places of the first five to finish:—E.
