FOXTON.
Miss Ellen AfaTurret Thynne, daughter of the late Air and Airs E. S. Thynne, pioneer settlers of this district, died in the Palmerston North Hospital on Alonday afternoon. She was a highly esteemed resident. Of a retiring disposition, she devoted her interests mainly to church work. Miss Thynne lived at the old homestead, “Kawaroa,” near No. 6 Line, till the death of her mother throe years ago. She eventually look up her residence at the beach. Her death will be regretted by a wide circle of friends. She is survived by three brothers, Messrs 11. S. Thynne (Levin), G. R. Thynne (Auckland) and A. Thynne (Palmerston North).
