SUNSHINE CLUB.
There was a good attendance at the (monthly meeting of the Sunshine Club, | when Mrs E. A. Shaw presided. Two new members accepted were Mesdames H. Dockett and C, Edmonds, A drama circle has been formed, and all members are looking forward to its activities, which will commence immediately. The balance-sheet of the club’s patriotic gala day and shop week was read, the financial statement of which , was most satisfactory. All who assisted in this connection were thanked by Mrs Shaw. It was decided unanimously to raise the monthly fee to 2s 6d ; in order to enable the club to renew its j , monthly donation to specified local ! bodies as formerly. Thanks were ex-; , tended to Mesdames Farland and ' j Watson for the afternoon tea provided. Hostesses, for the next social afI ternoon are Mesdames Harkness, (Peters and Lucas.
