BOXING.

That live body, the Manawatu Boxing Association, following the successful fight between Vic Caltaux and Johnny Hutchinson. is offering tho boxing patrons another" treat of fistic art. On Saturday, September 21, at tho Opera House. Palmerston North, it has matched Clarrie Raynor (Now Zealand lightweight star) to go twelve three-minute rounds with Young Gildo (the Filipino Flash). The Manawatu Boxing Association is certainly selecting its men well and should bo congratulated on its shrewdness, as both Raynor and Gildo have had decisions over Johnny Hutchinson this season. In view of this factor, patrons are assured of a good fight. Like last time it will be a capacity house. The box plan opens at Collinson and Cunninghame’s on Wednesday next, 18th. Patrons should book early.
