(From Our Own Correspondent.) I WAITUNA, Sept. 13. A dance was held in the hall, this week, the occasion being a farewell to Mr H. Guy lee, Mr A. llcndra (Rewa) and Mr J. Young (Beaconsfield) who go into camp shortly. Mr N. V. Shannon, in the absence of the chairman of the Patriotic Society (Mr L. T. McLean) presented Messrs Guylee, llcndra. and Young each with a fountain pen and pencil. Musical honours were accorded them. Tho Badminton Club held its weekly games on Wednesday night, the results being:—First round: Graham England and L. Miles beat D. Blue and R. Small. 11—7; P. Halford and A. Sowerby lost to A. llcndra and M. England, 8 —11; J. Small and K. England beat W. Camplin and A. Stokes, 11 —10; Gordon England and 11. Williamson beat G. Gledhill and L. Coleman, 11 6; J. Palmer and L. Mayhew lost to P. Halford and Graham England, 6—ll. Second round: Sowerby and Smith beat Ilendra and P. Small, 11—10; Stokes and J. Small lost to England and Gledhill, 5—11; Williamson and Palmer beat Coleman and Halford; Mayhew and Miles lost to Gordon England and Camplin, 10—11. Third round: M. England and Morris beat Stokes and P. Smith, 11— 8; K. England and Williamson beat Blue and Gordon England, 11—5; Palmer and Ilalford beat R. Small and M. England, 11—8; Blue and Camplin beat Sowerby and Miles, 11 —5; Coleman and Graham England beat P. Smith and G. Gledhill, 11—4. Fourth round: Hendra and J. Small beat Mayhew and Stoker 7—3; K. England and R. Small beat Graham England and P. Smith, 7 —l; M. England and Camplin lost to Gordon England and J. Small. 3—7; Stokes and Sowerby beat Gledhill and Mayhew, 7 —4 ; Williamson and Camplin beat Morris and Coleman, 7 —o.
