COMMUNITY CENTRE
Tlio Community Centre was gay with flowers on Thursday evening for a social organised by the Drama Club, to which all members of the Community Centro were invited. The time was passed in dancing, items and sketches. The three sketches performed by members of the Drama Group were greatly enjoyed, as were the items contributed by individual members, Mrs D. Younger, Miss E. Short, Miss M. AlcDowall, Messrs S. Crump, B. Short and S. Johnston. Mr and Mrs 11. C. D. Somerset acted as hosts and Mr M. Avery was M.C. Mr Somerset briefly thanked the committee responsible. Two novelty dances were included in the programme and the winners were: Lucky spot, Mrs Somerset and Mr S. Tate; Monte Carlo waltz, Miss L. Coleman and Mr L. Silcock. Among those present were Mcsdames Somerset, D. Younger, K. Ross, I. Caldwell, S. McDOwall, D. Ford, K. Dowrick, S. Tate, T. Palmer, 1). Kerr, Edwards, A. Brown, Ncsbit, Hewitt, Goldfinch, and Sporle, Misses J. Gray, L. Gray, S. Short, E. Short, J. McDowall, hi. McDowali, D. Thurston, M. Silcock, N. Silcock, M. Anderson, B. Anderson, 11. Bishop, Y. Pearson, A. Clarke, J. Breen, B. Moore, 0. Amyes, A. Araycs, I. Donaldson, P. MeElroy, D. Burgess, M. Gibson, D. Crump, R. Mills, P. Vondersloot, V. Stewart, L. Coleman and Sproule.
