CANADIAN MAN-POWER.

OTTAWA, Sept. 10.

The Minister of National War Services (Mr J. G. Gardiner) announces that 988,725 single men, aged from 19 to 45 years, have registered for military service, of whom 77,983 in the 21year class will start training in October. Two batches of 30,000 each will be called up before Christmas. The figures do not include 60,000 who have already enlisted for active service.
