COMING-OF-AGE DANCE.
A coming-of-age dance was held last Saturday in the AVomenjs Division room in Feilding, being given by Mr and Mrs B. Hobday in honour of their daughter Ngaire. The room was decorated" with lemon and blue streamers and an abundance of spring flowers to tone. Mrs Hobday received the guests wearing a irock of slate blue challise, assisted by her daughter in a , ” ai ,Su frock of Dutch girl blue taffeta Lhe guests included visitors from u elling-, ton, Carterton, Marton, Rongotea, Poliangina, Colyton, Bunnythorpc and Feilding. The Air Force, Army, and Fleet Air Arm were represented. After supper had been partaken of the birthday cake, decorated in lemon and blue, was cut and the usual toasts honoured, after which the guest of honour iias presented with the traditional key, which was autographed by all present. Air D. McFarland gave several items and dancing was indulged in to music supplied by Air A. AVnght. .
