TIES STRENGTHENED.
WASHINGTON Sept. 10. The chairman of tiie House of Bepresentatives’ Foreign Affairs Committee (Mr S. Bloom) endorsed the strengthening of Australian and American ties. He added that at present there urns no necessity for a defensive agreement similar to that between Canada and the United States, but new developments might make it desirable in the future.
