I SMALL FARMS IN DEMAND. At a meeting of the Feilding Territorial Association, last evening, it was decided to make provision lor the social, entertainment and welfare of the Manawatu Mounted Rifles, the headquarters of which are at Feilding. It was also resolved that members of the Territorial Company who proceed to. Waiouru shortly bo given a complimentary ball. Milk Distribution.
The Feilding Milk Vendors’ Association held a meeting on Monday evening, when it was stated that the zoning system was operating successfully, although there were several consumers who had complained about the changeover. In view of the Government having gazetted regulations governing the zoning system, the by-laws which- the Feilding Borough Council had proposed to exercise had not come into operation, and the Milk Vendors’ Association proposed to get in touch with the Minister on the matter of limiting the number of licenses to be issued. Red Cross Shop. The fortnightly Red Cross shop is to bo conducted on Friday by the Feilding women’s branch of the National Party. Donations of produce, cakes, etc., can be loft at No. 44 Derby Street or at the shop on Friday morning.
