OLD BOYS FOOTBALL CLUB.
Members of the Old Boys Rugby Football Club gathered last evening to hid farewell to Mr H. Lang, who has figured prominently in the senior team throughout the season, and who is to leave shortly for England to join the Fleet Air Arm. A presentation was made to Mr Lang and the good wishes of his club-mates extended to him. Mr Lang is the winner "of the captain’s trophy for the most consistent plaver during the season. J his year tlio' club won the Hankins Shield, for the senior championship, the Jubilee Cup (a challenge cup which is open for competition when the holders play on the Showgrounds oval), the Houlihan Cup (for a subsidiary match between chosen teams), and the Second Round Cup (for the winners of the senior championship second round). I-iOROWHENUA UNION. There was an exceptionally largo attendance at the Levin Domain on Saturday afternoon when the Shannon and Foxton senior Rugby football teams met fo decide the winners of the Horowhenua championship. The game ended in a draw, each team scoring 9 points. Shannon’s points were made up of two unconverted tries scored by Cole and Small, and a penalty kick taken by A. Woods. Vcrtongen and H Robinson (2) scored unconverted tries for Foxton. The teams wil have to play j off.
