UNITED CRICKET CLUB.
At the annual meeting of the United Cricket Club, held last evening, Mr A. E. Lynch presided in the absence of the president (Mr G. W. Love). The chairman mentioned that several members of the club were serving overseas and on behalf of the club 'lie extended best wishes for their safe return. The report (already published) and the balance-sheet were adopted. The election of officers resulted: Patron, Hon. M. Briggs, M.L.C.; president. Mr Love; senior vice-president, Mr Lynch; junior vice-president, Mr G. H. Francis; other vice-presidents, 14 were elected; chairman of management committee, Mr A. L. Jewett; secretary and treasurer, Mr J. Gallichan; club captain. Mr C. Francis; delegates to Manawatu Cricket Association, Messrs J. Gallichan and Love.; committee, Messrs IT. B. Shailer, R. C. Stuart, IV. H. Allan. A. AVhitcombe, C. E. Hinks; auditor. Mr R. C. Stewart. Mr A. L. Jewett was elected a life member, anil several playing and nonplaying members were elected.
