FEILDIHG SAVAGE CLUB

LADIES’ EVENING. Members of the Feilding Savage Club entertained their wives and friends at a social held in the Parish Hall, llungatira A. Hendry presided and the visitors witnessed the full hour’s korero. The korero opened with an orchestral number under, the baton of Mr J. L. Fleetwood. This was followed by Mr S. Johnston in a vocal solo. Mr A. Sundborn entertained with a bracket of guitar solos and accompanied Mr G. Adams, of Palmerston North, who also deliglfted the audience with lightning sketches. At the request of the Rangatira lie drew further sketches which were auctioned and the proceeds were devoted to the lied Cross Fund. A tarpaulin muster was also taken and the proceeds for the fund were swelled to £6. Mr C. Bell, of Palmerston North, contributed a xylophone solo, while Mr L. Wood told humorous stories and also led a popular community sing. Another artist was Mr A. Wright, on his pianoaccordeon. Dancing was later enjoyed.
