HANDSOME RESPONSE.
, SICK AND WOUNDED FUND. JERSEY BREEDERS’ DONATION. The handsome donation of £SOO from the New Zealand Jersey Cattle ‘Breeders’ Association, plus a number of smaller ones received, brings the total figure up to £11,557 12s 4d, and equals 8s per head of population for Palmerston North City and Kairanga County—a figure which is nearly double the average assessed for New Zealand, and probably has not been equalled by any other area, states the' local committee of the appeal. Further donations are:—
