FEILDING SALE.

AUCTIONEERS’ REPORT. The Associated Auctioneers report on the Feilding sale held on Friday: A small yarding of TIOO store sheep were penned, comprising approximately 703 ewes and 400 mixed sex hoggets and two pens of wethers. More interest was taken, in the sale and prices all round were firmer, especially for the best class of wether hoggets, which, appreciated fully Is a. head on recent sales. A good yarding of 1432 fat sheep came to hand, the quality of wethers being hardly up to the standard of last week’s sale. Some good quality pens of ewes were on offer. There was no improvement in the market and values were unchanged. There was good, competition for the fat lambs penned, \ allies being fully up to schedule rates. A medium yarding of 120 head of fat cattle came forward, the quality in the main not being up to the standard of recent sales. Realisations were practically on a par with lust week’s rates. In all 160 head of station cattle were yarded, comprising several pens of 18 months and 2a-year steers and odd pens of vveaners. Competition was slack, a number of pens being passed in at auction. However, business was effected privately afterwards and we report practically a total clearance at late rates. A total- of 174 head of store cattle met with a quiet sale, oidy one exporter operating, with the result that prices showed a derided drop on last week’s sale. There was a small yarding of 53 dairy cattle, the quality of which was very mixed. The best cows and heifers sold from £6 10s to £9, the majority of the cattle forward selling from £4 10s to £6. The dispersal sale of the registered Romney flock on account of Estate W. Pago was conducted after the stock sale, the sheep coming forward in good condition. Competition was quiet, and values in the main were rather disappointing, oneshear ewes soiling from If to 2fgns; twoshear ewes, If to 2igns; 3-shear ewes, If to 2igns; and Romney rams, lgn.
