CROQUET ASSOCIATION.

ANNUAL REPORT. In the twentieth annual- report of the Manawatu CJroquefc Association, the committee congratulates the association on another successful year. The membership is the same as last season’s, but it is regretfully reported that next season the membership will be depleted as the Eketahuna Club lias been transferred to the Masterton Association and St. John’s Club, Feilding, has disbanded. The weather was unfavourable during the season and there was very little play for the association trophies. The association extend their thanks to Mrs Radford, for carrying on the duties of secretary in the, absence of Mrs Parkes. At the annual tournament winners were: Championship, Mrs > Brown; championship doubles, Mrs Petrie and Mrs Brown ; handicap doubles, Mrs Petrie and Mrs Jamieson; handicap singles, A grade, Mrs Simpson; level singles (3 to 5), Mrs McDonald; championship, B grade, Mrs Watchorn; handicap singles, B grade, Mrs Read; championship, C grade, Mrs Jamieson ; handicap singles C grade, Mrs Dobson. Silver buttons: A grade, Mrs Bryant; B grade, Mrs King; C grade, Mrs Walker. The Council Gup was won by Otaki Municipal. The banner was won bv the Feilding Club. Holders of association trophies: Pollock Stars, Mesclames Simpson and Wood: Corbridge Stars, Mesdames Gerke and Murray; Brighton Mallets, Mesdames Russeli and Jamieson; Bennett Buttons, Mesdames Spooner and Jamieson.
