(From Our Own Correspondent.) WHAKARONGO, June 9. ) At a drama circle meeting members practised make-up, which was demonstrated by Miss C. W. Vautier. Two plays which are in production were also practised. The hostesses were Misses M, Sly and A. Olsen. At the fortnightly euchre party the results were: Ladies, Mrs Walker 1, Mr* Fafeita 2; men. Mr G. Hunt 1, Mr S. Albert 2; consolation. Miss 0. Uhrborn and Mr L. Newcombs. S y Mr and Mrs E. F. Johansen and : Mr M. Johansen have returned home from# a holiday in the north. Mr and Mrs O. Puklowski and Mr N. Lawrence ’have been visiting that district. Mrs N. Scott, of Lyttelton, has been the guest .of Mrs F. Eagle. Corporal Brown, who 'was the guest of Mr and Mrs Christiansen, has returned to WoodburnV. aerodrome. Mr. H. W. Wood is staying in Wanganui. Both local basketball teams were successful on Saturday.
