WAR TALK CONTINUES. EXPECTED. (United Press Association—Bv Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) ROME, June 6. The Vatican has prepared a. complete black-out. It has cleared the vault of the Fifteenth Century tower of Pope Nicholas V. as a shelter from air raids and has arranged a strongroom in. the tower for Church treasures.
The Associated Press says the Fascists report that orders have been quietly given to all branches of the Fascist Party to be ready to don uniforms" for a mass meeting at the Palazzo Venezia to hear Signor Mussoline announce war. He added that the meeting would probably be held at a moment’s notice to avoid warning the enemy. The Italian Press is making an inspired anti-Allied campaign with hitter accounts of the sufferings of Italian cafe and hotel proprietors in England under the recent orders banning aliens from coastal areas.
Steamship services between Malta, Syracuse, and the south of Sicily have been suspended.
