FEILDING BRANCH. The Feilding .branch of the WC.T.TJ. met in St. Paul’s Hall, Mrs; (Pack (vice-president) presiding. Mrs S. Wright led the devotions and prayers for the deliverance of the B.E.E. in the evacuation of Dunkirk were offered. It was pointed out that in the Great War Lord' Kitchener had advised all soldiers to fear God, honour the King,--and to abstain from liquor and looting. A statement was read to the effect that New Zealand’s drink bill for 1939 was £9;178,903. Airs Pack explained the method to be adopted in making soldiers’ comforts, and Mrs Stewart spoke on the liquor question in no-license districts.
