SENTENCE OF DEATH.

■(British Official Wireless.) Received June 6. 9.40 a.m. RUGBY, June 5. Sudliam Singh, aged 37, an engineer, at the Old Bailey to-day, was found guilty of the murder of Sir Michael O’Dwyer at the Caxton Hall meeting of the. East India Association on March 13. when the Marquess of Zetland (Secretary for India) had a narrow escape. Singh was sentenced to death.

At a meeting of the East India Association an Indian gunman shot dead Sir Michael O’Dwyer and wounded the Secretary of State for India (Lord Zetland), Sir Loirs Dane, and Lord Lamington, all slightly. ,
