, The Feilding branch of the British Music Society met on Tuesday' evening when a programme of violin, piano and vocal numbers was presented. Miss Betty Blamires (soloist) captivated the audience with lier clever fingering and. outstanding technique. All the numbers presented by this gifted and talented artiste were enthusiastically received. Assisting. Miss Blamires were Miss Southey J3aker (violinist), Miss Molly Deidrich (contralto), Miss Joan Bovis (soprano) and Miss Edna Eyre (accompaniste). . The programme was as follows : Piano solos, Miss Blamires, “Etude in C Minor” and “Fantasia,” by 7 Chopin, “Hark, Hark the Lark” (Schubert), “Papillons” (Lavelte), “Cappriccio” (Scarletti), “Jardinssores la Phuie (Delressy), “Le Concou” (Arensky), “Cappriecio” (Saint Saens) ; Miss Southey-Baker played “Caprice Viennois” (Kreisler), “Adagio” (from Franz Reis suite), “Tango” (Albaney) and “Melodie” (Tsehaikoxvsky). Miss Deidrich was heard in “Queen Mary’s Song” and “Shepherd Song” (Edward Elgar). Miss Bovis rendered “There is No Abiding” (Maurice Besly) and “Rain” (Pearl Curran) ~
