CABINET MEETING.
DOCTORS GALLED UP. ROME, June 4. The Italian Cabinet sat to-day, Signor Mussolini presiding. The meeting ended at 11.30' after approving Bills dealing with measures of ordinary administration. Military doctors and veterinary surgeons are being called up on Thursday, All doctors, chemists, and veterinary surgeons under the age of 55 are being appointed to the reserve of officers. . , Some people are suggesting that the Cabinet meeting should have decided Italy’s attitude in the war, l but it is pointed out by a leading Italian newspaper: “Only two men know the hour, but, we think it will be very soon.” The Italian Press is still filled' with comment against the Allies and the postponement of the 1942 Rome Exhibition had not lessened the tension. Travellers say that- loudspeakers have been erected in the public squares of many cities. The departure of Italians from Egypt is becorning more general, says a Cairo report, and one ship picked up from Port Said Italian schoolchildren from all parts of the country.
