The Foreign, Secretary (Lord Halifax), speaking at an Anglo-Portu-guese luncheon, revealed that the Duke of Kent would represent His Majesty at the celebration of Portuguese independence at Lisbon. He would be accompanied by Lord Chatfield, Lord Birdwood and Sir Stephen Gaseiee, Librarian and Keeper of the Papers at the Foreign Office.
