MARTON, June 4. Messrs Hugh Kimpton and W. Dashwood left to-day tor the Levin Air Training School, whore they ate to commence training as air pilots. .■ Marton donations to the Sick, Wounded and Distress Fund Appeal now total £1278 17s lid. * N _ At the Marton Miniature Rifle Club's range on Monday night, the Friedrich Cup was won outright by C. Hamer. The A button was won by J. Hammond, the B button by J. Wilkin and C button by H. Gordon. The Sick and Wounded Fund benefited by £8 as the result of special competitions conducted by the Marton Golf Club at the week-end. The combined Canadian foursomes over 12 holes resulted in a tie between Mr and Mrs D. B. Sladdon and Mr and Mrs S. W. Morrison, each with 59 —12 —47. On the toss of the coin, the latter pair were awarded the trophy. Other good scores were: Mr J. Marshall and Miss J. Galpin, 69—21—48; Mr A. FullertonSiiiith and Miss Swan, 55 —6—49; Mr and Mrs C. Whit ford, 58—7—51. The putting competition saw a tie between F. J. Christensen and A. Fullerton-Smith and in a play-off the latter won. Miss P. Marshall won the ladies’ putting. , , 1 . ,
