FAREWELL PARTY.

A dance organised by the friends of Sergeant R. N. Parkes, N.Z.R.A.F... was held at his home, “Parklands,” Terrace End, on Saturday evening, prior to his departure for overseas service.' Mrs S. J. Parkes,.. who wore black lace, and Mrs W. B. Cameron, gowned in maroon silk velvet, acted as hostesses, "and about forty guests were received. Mr R. Cameron acted as M.C. Supper was served in the billiard room, where the table was decorated with geraniums and asparagus fern. The guest of honour was -presented with many useful farewell gifts.
